Following an extensive review process, Dallas Fort Worth Airport Board approved a contract for LaTrelle’s Management Corporation to bring a Wendy’s restaurant to Terminal E of DFW Airport in 2014. The Wendy’s location, which will be 1483-sq-feet with 2187 additional square feet for seating area, will be operated by Houston-based restaurant specialist LaTrelle’s. It was among seven restaurant and retail outlets awarded for Terminals B and E Part II in DFW’s latest competitive process for the request for proposals.
“These new concessions concepts are very exciting additions that DFW passengers will really enjoy,” said Jeff Fegan, DFW Airport CEO, in the January press release. “Trusted brands and local flavor are important to our customers, and we are thrilled to add more passenger-driven concepts to our retail and restaurant offerings. Our mission is to deliver world-class customer service and give our passengers more of what they want, and with our ongoing concessions program development, we have the opportunities to deliver on that objective.”
The seven packages are part of DFW’s renewal of its concessions program in conjunction with the $2.3 billion Terminal Renewal and Improvement Program (TRIP). TRIP renovations include the allocation of 50% more space for concessions in Terminals B and E to accommodate passenger count estimates to 2020 and beyond.
LaTrelle’s, first began operating in DFW Airport in 1995 and since expanded its presence to provide multiple restaurants in the mix of food and beverage options for travelers.
