LaTrelle’s Management Corporation CFO Kenneth James accepted the invitation to be slated on the roster of speakers at the 2012 Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC) Conference hosted at the Hilton Americas Hotel. AMAC serves as the nation’s only non-profit trade organization dedicated to promoting the full participation of Minority/Women/Disadvantaged Business Enterprise/Small Business enterprises in airport contracting and employment opportunities.
“I am always happy to share my expertise on access, finance and other strategic aspects of business opportunities with the airport community,” notes Kenneth James, LaTrelle’s CFO. “Many conference participants are surprised that the Houston Airport System is the fourth largest multi-airport system in the US, so this conference will provide excellent networking opportunities with representatives of airport operators, airline executives, government officials, ACDBE, prime and M/W/DBE/S contractors.”
One popular aspect of the conference is the Regional Business Matchmaking Forum that facilitates strategic connections and one-on-one meetings to discuss procurement opportunities. Conference proceeds help support the on-going initiatives of AMAC and provide scholarships, career awareness and leadership development opportunities for students aimed at increasing more minorities and women representation in the airport industry through the AMAC Education and Scholarship Program.
